Glossary

A miniature replica of the tomb of Hussain, the martyred grandson of the Prophet Muhammad, that is carried in processions during the commemoration of Ashura, on the tenth day of Muharram. Usually made out of coloured paper and bamboo, they serve as memorials for Shia Muslims.
