Opportunities at the MAP Academy

Our team is driven by the idea that art history is inherently interdisciplinary, and that any sustained engagement with the subject must encourage a sense of respect and understanding for the social worlds, communities, practices and cultures from which it emerges. We are currently based across India, the United States, Southeast Asia and Europe — our working hours are typically 9:00 am – 5:30 pm IST. We work remotely, yet collaboratively, and in addition to regular meetings and interactions, we host an annual offsite to align on our mission and values.

Current Openings

Script Editor

The MAP Academy is looking for a Script Editor to join its team. They will assist with writing, editing and scripting for the MAP Academy’s online courses and other projects on South Asian art history, which incorporate voiceovers, text, video, images and interactive elements like quizzes.

Contract: 1 year (with potential to extend thereafter) 

Hours: Full-time (​​mandatorily from 9:00 am–5:30 pm IST)

Location: Remote/work from home

Remuneration: Based on experience

Research Editor (Online Courses)

The MAP Academy is seeking a Research Editor to join its editorial team. The role will primarily involve working on our Online Courses, as well as editorial for other projects as needed.

Contract: Employee Contract, 1 Year (extendable) 

Hours: Full time; 9 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

Location: Remote/work from home

Remuneration: Based on previous experience

Summer Scholarship Programme

The MAP Academy is delighted to announce a Summer Scholarship Programme for High School and Junior College students.

The programme offers young adults an opportunity to explore their interest in and knowledge of South Asian art histories. Through the scholarship period, they will be able to hone research skills, cultivate critical thinking, and understand the dynamics of a professional environment.
