Achutyadeva

Achutyadeva

Achyutadeva (b. n.d.; d. 1542 CE) was a ruler of the Vijayanagara empire. He was the successor to Krishnadevaraya and reigned from 1529 to 1542. His rule was marked by a continuity in the empire’s cultural and political power, even as he faced territorial challenges from the Deccan Sultanates and the Gajapatis of Odisha, as well as political revolts within his empire.
