Glossary

A twentieth century avant-garde art movement in Russia founded by artist Kazimir Malevich that emphasised the principles of geometry and sought to deconstruct art to create fundamental geometric shapes such as circles and squares in a limited colour palette. It was a major movement of modern art in Russia, along with Constructivism, and was closely associated with the Russian Revolution.
