Rishyasringa

Glossary

A sage in Hindu mythology portrayed in the Mahabharata as the harbinger of rains and in the Ramayana as the officiator of a ritual fire. His name, which derives from the presence of horn-like protuberance on his forehead, and means “sage with a deer horn.”
