Offset Oleography

Glossary

A process of producing multicoloured prints using the offset technique. The inked image is printed on a rubber cylinder, then transferred to surfaces such as paper, cloth, wood or tin. The method was extensively used in the twentieth century in the production of coloured chromolithographs for calendars, magazines and newspaper.
