A light-sensitive paper used as a negative in early photographic methods. It was prepared by coating it with albumen, egg white and a salt such as ammonium chloride, and sensitised by coating with silver nitrate. The process of albumen print was introduced by Louis-Desire Blanquart-Evrard c. 1850.
