Lalitasana

A pose found depicted in the religious art of Sikhism, Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism, it is also known as “the royal position.” The figure is typically depicted sitting on a throne with the left leg tucked inwards and the right leg dangling so that it is resting on the ground or on an object. Several deities have also been depicted sitting on their vahana or mount in this posture.
