Anantasayana

Glossary

A representation of the Hindu god Vishnu, which shows him reclining atop a coiled form of the serpent Ananta, on top of the Kshira Sagara or “ocean of milk.” Within iconographic traditions, this depiction of the deity symbolises the cosmic balance.
