Chandragupta II (b. n.d. ; d. n.d) was ruler of the Gupta dynasty from 376 to c. 413 CE. The son of Samudragupta (r. c. 350–370), he is credited with bringing western India under his empire’s control, expanding its existing territory in northern and central India.
