Sir Henry Cole (b. 1808; d. 1882) was a civil servant, inventor and industrial designer best known for establishing the South Kensington Museum in 1854 and an advocate for innovation in industrial design. He organised several exhibitions, including the Exhibition of Art Manufactures in 1847, and oversaw the management of the Great Exhibition in 1851.
