Lakshmi

Glossary

A deity in the Hindu pantheon, she is the consort of Vishnu, is considered the goddess of wealth and prosperity. She is usually depicted with a lotus, riding an elephant, or more rarely, an owl. She is also revered in some Jain traditions.
