Madrassa

Glossary

An institution of higher learning in the Islamic thought. In its earliest form, it was an extension of mosques and had a mostly theological curriculum centred around the Quran and the Hadith, and included the study of Arabic grammar, literature, mathematics, logic and natural sciences.
