Meenakshi Thirukalyanam

A temple festival held annually at the Meenakshi Temple in Madurai, Tamil Nadu to mark the ritual coronation of Meenakshi — the principal deity of the temple — and her wedding to Sundereshwara. Celebrated with rituals and a procession, the festival is held in the Tamil month of Chithirai, which corresponds to the months of April and May in the Gregorian calendar.
