Established in 1972, it is a cultural institution and museum located within the Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur, Rajasthan in northern India. Its collection –– comprising paintings, textiles, arms and armour and decorative art objects –– provides insights into the history of the Marwar region, including from the Mughal era onwards. The Trust also publishes research centred on its collection, organises cultural festivals and events, and undertakes conservation programmes around the Fort.
