Nagara Style

A style of Hindu temple architecture commonly found in northern and central India and characterised by a curvilinear or rectilinear shikhara (superstructure or tower) above the innermost sanctum, as well as a main prayer hall. It derives its name from a style of temple mentioned in the Shilpa Shastras (a collection of canonical texts that describe the principles of ancient Indian art and architecture).
