In Vajrayana Buddhism, one of the forms of the bodhisattva Avalokitesvara. Simhanada is depicted as sitting in the maharajalila posture accompanied by his vahana (mount), a lion. He is symbolised by the sword on a lotus and a trisula or trident entwined with a snake.
