A Pallava ruler who reigned during the latter half of the sixth century in present-day Tamil Nadu. The Pallava Dynasty saw a revival under his rule through the expansion of their territory beyond Kanchipuram in the south. He was a devotee of Vishnu and patronised the Sanskrit poet Bharavi.
